North

Is where we are moving. :-)

We are going to be residents of Ankeny, IA come July 15th, 2011. We are very excited to be moving to the community and very excited to get to know our new neighbors! Our Church is in Ankeny, our pediatrician, some of our best friends and better schools for the twins.

Our house is going to be such a better fit for our family. It has 4 bedrooms, a huge kitchen, a pantry (YEAH), and an unfinished basement! When we walked into the house Nick and I both just knew it was the perfect house for our family. It was the first house we looked at in a day FILLED with looking at houses (10 to be exact). No other house compared to this one so we made an offer. The next day we settled on the offer and 'hopefully' the rest is history! :-)

Now off to packing....

What a week...

It has been an emotional roller coaster these past two days.

We may have some good news on the house selling front...we'll wait and see on that. But its also been one year since my dad died. I remember that day like it was yesterday. Racing to Waterloo, seeing him struggling to breathe and watching him take his last breath. That moment is burned into my memory and is one of the most precious things I've ever experienced. I miss him deeply. I miss everything about him. His face, his voice, his hands... He was my hero. For anyone who knew him you knew that he didn't say much, but he spoke a thousand words. He was loyal, honest and the most amazing person I have ever met. He was the first man I ever loved! :-) I'm so proud that my son carries his name. I will forever tell him to carry it proudly.

I miss you Dad and will forever miss you. Please keep dancing with the angels (or playing golf). I can't wait to see your face again and dance with Jesus along side you!

Selling a house

SUCKS!

We have had our house on the market since September 2010 and have had only a handful of showings. :-(

We really want to be in the Ankeny area as that is where our pediatrician is, our church and a much better school system. We know that it will happen when its supposed to happen, but we are hoping and praying for some good news soon.

If anyone is interested or knows anyone who is interested let us know. Its a nice 3 bedroom, 3 bath home on a double cul-de-sac in a great family friendly neighborhood! :-)
